The new #1 contender, Abyss, makes his way to the ring with his weapon, “Janice”, and a huge piece of raw beef. Abyss says “they” have a plan for RVD and it involves him and his “girl”. He says it’s extreme and it’s beyond anything he’s ever done in the business, and he’ll tell him the plan later. He says he is waiting for instructions from “them” and introduces Janice. She is smart and sexy, and tall and sharp, but she also has a dark side. He says she also like pain and Abyss starts slamming the board into the meat and then he bites into the leg and eats some of it. Abyss says RVD will realize what a bitch his girl is, and he starts ripping some of the meat off with his hands and keeps eating it.

Ring Segment

Abyss starts yelling for RVD and tells him to come to him, and RVD’s music hits and he comes out to the ramp. Abyss tells him to hold on, and he puts Janice down in the corner before RVD gets in. Abyss says it is time for him to share “their” plans with him, and says “they” are coming to TNA soon. He says “they” will take TNA over, and there is nothing him, Dixie Carter, or any of the sheep can do about it. He says he was instructed to get the TNA title off of RVD, and he has a plan. Abyss says they will hang Janice above the ring, and they will have the most extreme match TNA has ever seen. He says Janice says she wants a piece of his ass, and he says the only thing left is when and where, but they will get extreme.

RVD says he knows what the belt means, and he won’t try to take it personally. He says it is his belt, and he loves being champion because of the challenges, and punches Abyss in the face. He dropkicks Abyss and hits a spin kick and some corner punches, but misses a monkey flip and Abyss chokeslams him then goes to pick up Janice. Mick Foley appears on the ramp and Abyss can’t believe it, then the ECW guys hit the ring and start beating the hell out of Abyss. Security runs out but they get taken out quickly and then some of the TNA roster comes out and also gets tossed from the ring. Brian Kendrick and Desmond Wolfe come out, and then D’Lo Brown, Pat Kenney, Al Snow and Terry Taylor come out, and they all get beaten up. Matt Morgan and Eric Young come out and the ring is a war zone as everyone is fighting against each other, and Brother Devon joins the fight. Jeff Jarrett comes out to try and control things but people are still fighting everywhere. Police officers get in the ring and try to break it up as Dixie Carter screams at them to stop, because she invited them. Everyone looks suprised, including Jarrett, as police and security work to restrain everyone as Impact goes off the air.

Christy Hemme is backstage with Abyss, who has a 2×4, loaded with nails. Abyss talks about the board like it’s a woman, saying tonight, the other men in the main event will find out what a bitch his girl can be.

TNA World Championship Match
Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Abyss vs. Rob Van Dam

Jeremy Borash is in the ring, and he does formal ring introductions for all the men in the match.

The bell rings and we’re ready to kick this one off. Abyss is pacing on the outside of the ring. Anderson, RVD and Hardy stare at each other and circle slowly. They discuss Abyss with each other. Abyss climbs to the apron and all three of the other men attack. Everyone works together to do damage to Abyss, Anderson pounding on Abyss, then Hardy, then RVD. Hardy hits a splash, then Anderson, and RVD follows it up with a giant monkey flip. Anderson and Hardy both go for a cover, and Abyss rolls to the outside. Hardy jumps off the back of RVD, over the top rope on top of Abyss. Anderson tries for a quick roll up, but he only gets a two count.

Van Dam takes Anderson down and tries for rolling thunder, but Abyss grabs RVD’s legs and pulls him to the outside where he slams him into the barricade. Abyss turns his attention to Anderson in the ring, but Anderson and Hardy are able to stun the big man. Abyss teases a double chokeslam, but Hardy and Anderson take Abyss down with a double shoulder block. Anderson sets Hardy up for a splash on Abyss, but hits him with a spear instead, tries for a cover, but it’s broken up by RVD. Hardy hits a back kick and front suplex on Van Dam, but RVD is able to kick out at two.

RVD launches himself to the outside where he lands on top of Abyss. Not to be outdone, Hardy does the same. Mr. Anderson goes to the top turnbuckle, and jumps to the outside where he catches Abyss with a double sledge. Anderson is able to roll back into the ring, as does RVD. RVD hits the split leg moonsault on Anderson, but Hardy is able to break up a cover. RVD and Hardy trade blows, but Van Dam catches Hardy with a big kick to the face. RVD traps Anderson in the corner, but Anderson turns it around. RVD tries to go to the top, but Anderson shuts it down and RVD ends up crotched on the top rope. Anderson tries for a superplex, but RVD fights it off. Hardy comes in and helps out Anderson, trying to make it a double superplex. Abyss comes in and assists, turning it into a double powerbomb/double superplex combination. Abyss goes for the cover on Hardy, then Anderson, but he can’t put either away.

Abyss tries for a chokeslam, but RVD fights out of it. RVD hits Abyss with some ridiculously high kicks, and he follows it up with a single leg dropkick. RVD goes up to the top again, but Anderson is there and he shoves him off the top where RVD smashes face first into the entrance ramp. Back in the ring, Hardy and Abyss trade blows, and Hardy gets the upper hand with the whisper in the wind, but Anderson breaks up a pin attempts. Anderson hits the mic check on Abyss and this time Hardy breaks up the pin. Hardy tries for the twist of fate on Abyss, but it’s fought off and Abyss responds with a black hole slam. Abyss pins Hardy, but Anderson pulls the ref out of the ring before the three count. Hardy knocks Abyss to the floor.

Anderson and Hardy trade pretty wild blows with Anderson getting the better of Hardy. Anderson tries for the mic check, Hardy tries for the twist of fate, everything is being countered. Hardy is finally able to connect with the twist of fate, and he goes to the top where he connects with a swanton bomb, but when he gets up, he’s chokeslammed back onto Anderson. Abyss pins both men and RVD comes in with a five star frog splash on everyone. RVD pins Anderson, and gets the three count.

After The Match

Abyss turns his attention to RVD and attacks him from behind. Abyss grabs the 2×4 covered in nails and he goes to hit RVD but he misses him and rips up part of the canvas. Abyss looks at the board and stares at RVD, though him staring at the board is the image that ends the PPV.

- The Wrestling Observer also reported that TNA locker room morale is said to be at an all-time low right now, and it was especially down at the last set of Impact tapings and during the Slammiversary PPV. One of the main reasons why is because when Dixie Carter makes statements like “an announcement is coming that will change TNA forever,” the talent in the locker room feel like they’re being worked and kayfabed as none of them have any idea what’s going on.

Hulk Hogan comes out first and he looks around at the fans before he gets in the ring. He finally gets in and says he has felt this energy before and TNA is getting moving now. He says alot of things are happening and he’ll get right to it, and because of last week it will be a four way match at Victory Road for the TNA Championship. He is putting over the participants until Abyss’ music hits, and he comes out wearing a hood and doesn’t have the Hogan mashup song anymore.

Hogan says it is good to see him, and he wants to know why he acted the way he did. Abyss says no one realizes what is going on and he will continue to do what he has been doing is because “they” told him to. Abyss says they are coming sooner than Hogan thinks, and there is nothing that Bischoff, Dixie Carter or Hogan can do about it. Hogan tells him to cut the crap and asks Abyss who they are. Abyss says everyone will find out soon enough, and he doesn’t need Hogan or anyone anymore. He says to tell Bischoff and Dixie that when they get here they will take TNA over, and there is nothing they can do about it. Abyss says one last thing, he doesn’t want Hogan’s “garbage” ring anymore, and shoves it down Hogan’s throat. Abyss chokes Hogan in the corner and then gets the bag full of broken glass and points at Hogan.

Rob Van Dam hits the ring and takes it to Abyss until Abyss powerbombs RVD near the glass and then goes back towards Hogan until Mr. Anderson makes the save with a chair. Anderson hits Abyss with the chair three times and then bails out of the ring and gets Hogan out of harms way.

Abyss vs Mr. Kennedy

Anderson doesn’t even wait for the intro as he makes his way down and takes it straight to Abyss in the corner. Anderson tries running the ropes but Abyss elbows him in the jaw and then chokes him on the middle rope. Abyss whips him off the ropes but Anderson hits a Thesz press and punches away until Abyss rolls outside. Anderson goes outside and grabs a chair but Abyss punches it right in his face. Abyss takes it back inside and props the chair in the middle of the ring. He goes to whip Anderson towards it but Anderson drop toe holds Abyss (ala Raven) right into it face first. Anderson grabs the chair and wedges it into the turnbuckle but Abyss counters and whips Anderson towards it, only to have Anderson slide under it and go under the ring.

Anderson reemerges with a singapore cane and goes to town on Abyss with it. Anderson tries hitting Abyss with it again, but he ducks and Anderson cracks it off of the ringpost and Abyss takes the opportunity to whip Anderson into the ramp. Abyss pulls up some of the padding and attempts to chokeslam Anderson on it, but Anderson gets away and they go back in the ring. Abyss slams the chair down on the ribs of Anderson, and goes for a splash but Anderson holds the chair up in defense. Anderson goes up top and tries the Kenton Bomb but Abyss gets the knees up and slams Anderson into the chair in between the turnbuckle. Anderson stumbles back towards the center of the ring and walks right into the Shock Treatment, and Abyss makes the cover and gets the three count.

After the match Abyss pursues Anderson up the ramp and knocks him down with right hands. Abyss takes him up to the entrance tunnel and attempts to powerslam him off the stage, but Anderson fights out and sets up for the Mic Check. Abyss fights back and chokeslams Anderson through part of the stage and raises his arms in celebration, but as he celebrates he doesn’t see Hogan coming up the ramp behind him. Hogan has a chair and hits Abyss in the back with it, but it has no effect, then security rushes out to get between them. Abyss throws the security down the ramp and gets in Hogan’s face as more security gets in between them as Impact goes off the air.

Abyss was busted open and had loads of cuts and scratches on his arms and face after his Slammiversary bout. Neither the barbed wire nor the broken glass were gimmicked in the Monster’s Ball match.

Desmond Wolfe was said to have been OK following his Slammiversary match. There was fear that he had suffered a concussion.
